Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage. The best season to cycle on the roads of Alta Badia is certainly in the first summer months or towards the end of September: the valley is quieter and the roads are less busy.
Among the road bike enthusiasts, Alta Badia is well-known for its
legendary stages of the Giro d'Italia and for the Maratona dles Dolomites. Throughout the summer, several events are organized for cyclists, such as the "
Dolomites Bike Day", and the "
Sellaronda Bike Day", where the Dolomites roadways are closed to traffic and are reserved for bikes only.
Alta Badia valley is not only known for its streets and its
breathtaking Alpine passes, but also for its peaks and adventurous
mountain-bike descents. The cycle path is located between 1,300 and 2,000 meters of altitude above sea level and offers many natural tracks, trails and bike beats.
